Description:
The Government of Bolivia has introduced an ambitious educational reform, which focuses on a more holistic approach to learning and on mother-tongue education. The Ministry of Education is eager to involve the two national teachers unions in Bolivia – CTEUB (urban teachers) and CONMERV (rural teachers) – in the implementation process of the reform, which this project is meant to assist with.
The project includes capacity building of CTEUB and COMMERB.
DLF act as technical advisor for CTEUB and CONMERB, while LO/FTF Council (Danish trade union center) is the project responsible in relation to Danida.
Goals:
To strengthen the social dialogue between teacher unions and Ministry of Education in order to improve the implementation process of the educational reforms.
To improve services for CTEUB and CONMERB members.

Results:
Better coordination and cooperation between CTEUB and CONMERB and Ministry of Education in Bolivia.
More skilled and knowledgeable CTEUB and CONMERB leadership at national and regional level.
More awareness of membership communication needs and gender issues.
