The project is a continuation of the cooperation between the organisations in 1987-1990. 2002-2009 and 2015-2019. The activities in the coming period of 2020-2023 will focus on the local level of GTU. The membership in the organisation has expanded from 7 451 in 2015 to 16 088. This has increased the need of activities of local level.
A big share of GTU's members are young, in dec 2019 67%. GTU has formed a youth wing in the structure, in line with the previous formed women's wings. In the plan is also included a training for the newly elected NEC.
To maintain that every work place has a school representative, which is the situation today.
To have all school representatives trained to support the members at the workplace and to recruit new members.
To have the new executive committe trained to strenghten the regional and local structures.
To have a manual for SR training with relevant content for the school representative.
During 2020-21 all school representatives will receive training (1 595) to meet the needs and involvement of the members at school level. To be able to arrange that the training manual for SR will be revised and a ToT will be arranged in the beginning of 2020.
